Alison Manning

Ali Manning has been sharing her love of handmade books and paper crafts since the early days of blogging in 2007. From her studio in an old schoolhouse in Groton, Massachusetts, she teaches people around the world how to create beautiful, accessible books using simple tools and materials.

Through her website, Vintage Page Designs, and her thriving online community, The Handmade Book Club, Ali has introduced thousands of students to the joy of bookbinding. Her approachable teaching style has attracted a global audience of more than 35,000 email subscribers and 70,000 followers across YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook. A recent free class drew more than 10,000 participants, reflecting her passion for building community through creativity.

Her work has been featured in Somerset Studio, Take Ten, Paper Crafts Magazine, and Cloth, Paper, Scissors. When she’s not teaching or making books, Ali can often be found in a cozy chair with embroidery in her hands, an audiobook in her ears, and a cup of coffee by her side.
