Jan-Joost Mekkes

 

​Jan-Joost Mekkes is a field worker, specialized in European dragonflies, butterflies and other insects. Unfortunately he has, due to chronic Lyme disease, limited energy, especially in the colder season. For this reason he likes to stay in the tropics. In previous years he spent several months on Statia and Bonaire, collecting and photographing insects. The same he will do on Saba during February and March.

 

Jan will be on Saba from February 14-28, 2025. We will be updating our calendar with activity dates and times as we continue to coordinate our event. Stay tuned!
