Leslie Espino

I’m Leslie, a female environmental scientist working at NASA. As a woman working in the male-dominated disciplines of STEM and art, I use my sustainable art practice to create a space that is safe from external and internal expectations. In this safe space, I reimagine the world in my signature whimsical, storybook style. Using new and repurposed materials, my artwork often highlights endangered ecosystems and their importance. I hope my work invites the viewer to reconnect with their imagination and discover their power as a steward of their environment.
