Marjelle Molenaar

From early on Marjelle has a strong interest in nature. Looking at birds that flew over the backyard of her parents, little critters crawling between the plants, always followed by the question “What is that, dad?” It let her to the study Forest and Nature Conservation in which she first focussed on ecology, but later on was drawn to human-nature relationships and especially environmental education and communication. She did her internship with the Dutch Butterfly Conservation. After finalising her studies she stayed with the Dutch Butterfly Conservation and is now working as a communications officer. Next to this she is the editor in chief and designer of the magazine Vlinders (Butterflies) of Dutch Butterfly Conservation. In her spare time she loves to go hiking packed with her camera to photograph nature, with a special passion for insects such as butterflies and beetles.
