Craig Berg
Craig Berg was the Curator of Reptiles and Aquarium at the Milwaukee County Zoo from 1996 until 2017. He has since retired. Craig has conducted frog surveys on several Caribbean Islands including Saba in 2006. He is best known for his surveys of the frogs of Grenada following Hurricane Ivan in 2004. He has authored or coauthored articles on Caribbean fauna ranging from Tree boas, to frogs, to marine park faunal surveys. In essence from mountain top to ocean bottom.
In 2011, he was tapped by the Amphibian Ark to participate in the assessment of amphibian species in the Caribbean for the IUCN. While on Saba he will present a program about amphibians and their importance to the ecosystems of islands.
During Sea & Learn, he will lead interested parties into the field to compare the sizes and body condition of Saba's post-hurricane tree frogs, Eleutherodactylus johnstonei, with measurements taken during his previous visit to Saba.
Craig Berg will be presenting on October 15th, 2018. We will be updating our calendar with activity dates and times as we continue to coordinate our event. Stay tuned!
