Jennifer Rahn

Jen hails from New Jersey, currently resides in Birmingham, Alabama and visits Saba a few months each year. She has an active life on Saba that includes her personal research, teaching college students in study abroad courses and collaborating with the Saba Marine Park, Saba Conservations Foundation and other visiting researchers.

As an Assistant Professor of Geography at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, Jen teaches classes in oceanography, cartography, Geographic Information Systems (GIS – computer mapping and data analysis), environmental science, and physical geography, and since 2015, has been active in maintaining and conducting data collections of Saba’s first coral nursery.

Join Dr. Rahn to help us clean the nursery, transplant corals, and help with tree maintenance.
